Down the Hatch...With the Catch

Catch...HA! A fisherman had just cast his net off the dock hoping for some small baitfish...and he brought up this little mullet. Instead of tossing it back into the sea, he left it on the dock for the blue heron.

It doesn't take long. I think I got 4-5 shots in before it disappeared down the throat.

C-Y-I...(Can you imagine) swallowing your food whole? They must have incredible digestive systems.

I dragged Lisa with me out to the fish market. We didn't stay long, but it was a beautiful afternoon.
