Wetsuit Smiles
Gordon, Katie, Malcolm and I got our wetsuits and boots on and headed down to Belhaven in the late afternoon sunshine at high tide. With the sun shining all day the water was warm and we were in for about 2 hours.
Big Smiles.
I spent most of the day cleaning and tidying, so it was a relief to get out at the end of the day and we had a fantastic time. I put more from today on Flickr.
My "Two Bare Feet" wetsuit has ripped already after doing very little and getting wet twice, so don't buy one of them. Malcolm's is an Osprey which cost about the same and is much better made.
After parting with my D40 I've been thinking about a waterproof camera and this is the first time out with my new Nikon AW100. It's really nice, but it took me a while to choose between similar models from Olympus, Panasonic and others. In the end it was the big secure locking knob on the memory and battery cover that decided me on the Nikon. There is no way you could open that door by mistake - the others seemed flimsy by comparison. And I chose an orange one in case I do drop it in the sea one day...
This is straight off the camera, a lucky crop and a quality image.
