Amaryllis update: part II

After realising that the amaryllis I got for Christmas from my mum wasn't going to flower, I went into M&S today to complain. Thankfully they were very understanding and gave me another one for free - with a flower already appearing! I am not entirely sure how healthy it will be - it is wrapped in wax and supposedly doesn't need any watering - but it'll definitely be good to watch it and see. 

I was sent this exciting article today - a drone is used to pollinate a lily successfully and "is the world's first demonstration of pollination by an artificial robotic pollinator". We are getting ever closer to the black mirror episode with the robot bees!
