Sunset in Croyde

Today was our first full day in Croyde, and as forecast, it rained. So we decided to jut go for a walk in the rain and walk around the village. After popping into a few shops we carried on to find the way to the beach on the other side of the village. It was a nice walk although the rain was starting to soak through our trousers, but we didnt care.

We walked along the beach watching all the surfers ignore the weather and carry on regardless, so we did the same. We stopped for a while, where i was hoping the rain would stop so i could get my camera out, but there was no chance of that, so we carried on our circular walk. Getting close to the ranch we noticed a Costa sign at a nearby resort, so we just had o pop in for a cuppa. After a coffee and a giggle we headed back for a traditional sunday lunch, chicken tikka masala, rice and naan.

We sat back at the ranch watched the Paralympics with coffee and biscuits, eventually, about 7:10 the rain ceased and the clouds started to break. So i grabbed my camera and headed on back down to the beach. The light was rubbish, so I only managed to get a few images before the clouds closed in again, then i had to up the iso to finish off with some surfing images, but they had to be cropped quite a bit. But it was nice to squeeze a few shots off today.
