Inaccessible Pinnacle - progress

I've had a very happy weekend in the studio. Three small watercolours completed. Paper prepared for more small watercolours, and marked out the image on the canvas for this painting.

Couldn't wait to put the first bit of colour on, so went back into the studio to start on the sky. The tiny wisps of cloud emphasis the blueness of the sky and the height of the pinnacle.

There's a bit of a shine on the canvas because the paint is still wet. Looking forward to getting on to the complex bits.
