Toad

A day in the garden. Propagator built and suspended on pully from top of the poly tunnel - let's see if the mice can get round that. Onions and garlic planted, too. Next up is getting the first batch of seeds sown.

The pond by the house is filling up with frogs for their annual spawn-fest. It's not a great pond from a garden design perspective, but the amphibians love it, and generate a loud, low, continuous chorus of croaking. When you approach, they go silent and duck under the water.

To celebrate I cook toad-in-the-hole for tea.
