my eyes they cannot lie

London Baby!

Up early to head to London. Up a good half hour before the alarm! Excited much? Who me?

We had a great journey down to the big smoke. I napped on the bloke, we watched some Boosh, I won some Triv on the iPad.

First stop was The British Library, it was a great place to visit but I was a bit disappointed at ALL THE RULES, and all the barriers to actually getting in and seeing some books!

After the library excitement we needed a brew...I asked for a pot of tea "A glass of tea?" said the waiter. It WAS. Tea in a glass. I know right? Crazy times.

Then onto The Tube and to Camden Market - it was brilliant! We browsed and we ate and we pointed out things we would go back and buy...which of course we never did.

Then...it was TIME, fed and happy we headed through and saw loads of sights....The Shard, London Bridge, Tower Bridge, The Golden Hind, HMS Belfast, The Tower of London, The Gherkin, Saint Pauls..on our way to The Millennium Bridge.

I was surprisingly nervous about putting on our padlock. But we were inspired by the others that were there and found a nice spot for ours.

We locked it, gave our fellow walkers a very PDA, took photos of eachother then kissed and threw the keys into The Thames.

It was the single most romantic, meaningful moment of my life. BLIP.

Love it, love the man and love the lock. We felt quite sad leaving it behind! A bit of romance and a bit of Manchester forever overlooking the river.

The rest of the day was spent mooching round The Tate, taking in Saint Pauls, a memorable break at the Canadian Embassy where I finally swapped my heels for flats and lastly Pimms and Coke in Covent Garden.

Back home, train journey flew by with Boosh and Family Guy and night ended with wine and memories.

The most important side of the padlock reads...
