Across the Forth
Feeling tired today despite waking up a bit later but had a good day at daughter's.
Mr Rat is on holiday for a week so we were able to visit daughter's church and then went to Kinghorn seafront to look for the humpback whale which has been in the Firth of Forth for some weeks. It had been seen half an hour earlier but we weren't lucky.
After lunch we walked up The Binn past the deserted village of Binn (deserted in the 1960's I'm told) and along the cliff edge. It was rather grey and misty but the views are extensive in all directions. Although not the best of photos the pic gives some idea of what we could see.
Son and family joined us for high tea in a hotel with great views across the firth (and the whale had been seen again half an hour earlier!) so a pleasant next bit to my birthday was had.
Back home a couple of jobs had to be done before an early night.
