Not The Best Result

Back-blip 2 of 3.....

So, we played in the Second Section of the West of England Brass Band Association regional qualifier for the National Brass Band Championships of Great Britain - easy for me to say. The band press had us down as favourites as we'd won last year and went on to come second at the National Finals. Alas it wasn't to be. We didn't play the set test-piece to our usual standard and the two adjudicator's didn't like our interpretation too much either, placing us 6th out of the 17 competitors. Not a disaster and, in fact, because we'd done well in the last two years we get promoted to the First Section for 2018 anyway.

I managed to grab an hour of blip-time after the results and before 22 of us regrouped at a local Indian Restaurant. All is well that ends well they say :)
