Talventörröttäjä in morning sunshine

We woke up at 7 this Sunday and walked across the field to get the newspaper. It was quite special, since the frost had hardened the snow so we could easily walk on it - hankikanto - we say in Finnish.
And talventörröttäjä just stands for a stiff-stemmed plant that sows its seeds in the winter - I think.
