Restoration
Another lovely day once the fog had burnt off. I had to go into town this afternoon and as usual I took the camera with me just incase something catches my eye. I know I am going to need a picture of a local village and had decided to use a view of Lower Town taken from Harbour Village with the 300mm telephoto lens. Having missed the shopkeeper that I wanted to visit, because he is operating winter opening hours,[only in Fishguard] I decided I would go and take a picture for this forth coming project. I got the shot as required and decide to take a few extra pictures while I Harbour Village. Much to my amazement the old cannon that is positioned at this view point has been restored and was looking magnificent . Who has done this I don't know but I have been asking the County Council to restore the cannon that sits in the centre of Fishguard Square for the last 2 years. The wooden carriage is rotten, and in my opinion dangerous, as a centrepiece for our town it really is a let down. I am now on a mission.
