Mounty

The carbuncle on the tail of the artic trailer is a specialised fork-lift known as a Moffett Mounty and is used to unload palletised animal feed in remote locations.

It is without doubt functional but it also reduces payload, is ungainly and unbalanced weight in distribution terms, particularly when running empty.
