Embroidery

Detail of a bag that my neighbor brought from the state of Chiapas. It was made in the village of Chamula, and is woven wool that appears to be lightly felted then this colorful embroidery is added to the surface. Another friend is going to Chiapas this week, and I asked her to buy one for me, as I think it is spectacular!
