Thank you all so much for visiting my 2000th blip yesterday - made it on to page 5 of 'Popular'.
You are all wonderful people to keep coming back and viewing my blips.  I hope I can keep up the standard to which you have become accustomed.

Today was my usual Monday visit to Kinghorn Loch bird hide but nothing much was going on until, as I was closing the shutters, a woodpecker turned up. It was not there to visit the feeders (they were empty) but started natural foraging amongst the moss covered base of a tree trunk.

This one is an adult male.
