Aussie Father's Day

Here in Australia, Father's Day always falls on the first Sunday of September, this year being on the 2nd.

All of the family came around for a bar-be-que lunch, along with my mother and father-in-law, and we all ate until we were nearly fit to burst!

When desert came to the table, everyone managed to make room for just a little more food though, with chocolate cake (made by Emma), and two trifles, one being non alcoholic to suit the young ones who had to drive home.

We are feasting on strawberries right now. The shops are full of them and the price is very low too, so we all enjoyed a treat of every desert being decorated by strawberries!
