Walima

Kas invited Mirko, Jelena and I to share an Arabic walima (feast). The food was delicious and the photo is of just the morsels we started with.

But it was the company and conversation that was the most outstanding. I found it satisfying on many levels due to the range of ideas we talked about and feelings we freely shared.

I'm so grateful for having local friends whose vision has breadth and depth. Their sensibilities are so effortlessly global that I don't have to censor myself as I talk in case they don't 'get' it which depending on the company, I at times need to.
Fortunately these friends are tuned into the same frequency.
