I was in Brussels for a series of meetings including a very good youth event involving young people from Scotland and a number of other countries, who were asked to say what they wanted from the EU in the future. I also called on the UK Commissioner, Sir Julian King and did quite a few interviews with Brussels based media.

Those followed on the First Minister's speech from Bute House . Most of the staff in Scotland House watched it as it was delivered at 12.30 (Brussels time) .

It was an event which dominated the day which will set the agenda for the coming years.
