Professional development/staff training day. 100+ teachers sitting in the theatre from 8.30 - 2.30, with an hour for lunch. Visiting speaker on risk management when taking students on school trips, whose well intentioned dire warnings and illustrative stories will probably result in a severe decline in teachers volunteering to do exactly that.  Meanwhile, I practised Active Listening Mindfulness (a.k.a. Doodling) whilst  others finished their grading, checked their email, went 'googling' and wrote mid-term reports. 


Early evening and quick grocery shopping run with Robin, then to the vet to collect Caroline and bring her home. After three days of antibiotics and other veterinary care, she seems much better, although the vet has made it clear that the improvement is temporary and the final outcome is unalterable.  For now, she is home and seems to be content to be so.  Me too.
