Bogallan Wood has mostly vanished with the felling, or harvesting, of the conifers. Just a few deciduous trees left around the periphery. Great to open up the scene and now have views restored to the distance, rather a dark and dense bit of typical forestry. Bad news is that that dense bit of typical forestry provided shelter from the prevailing wind, for we cyclist slogging up a long, long hill. Can't have everything, and I'm sure there'll be more trees planted sometime in the future.
