Lucky weather breaks

We've been mostly lucky in our timing, not getting rained on. Today we walked the Railroad trail from Haggen at Barkley Village to the Alabama St. bridge and back with just a few misty raindrops. Before we got started on the walk we were singing "The Star Spangled Banner" (an emergency distraction from the topic of going home) and couldn't remember (yeah, I know) the line after "broad stripes." So I asked a dude smoking by the pavilion near the trail head if he remembered, but you can only get there by singing your way to it. So we did that. When you're with a person with dementia, anything goes.

I tried to capture the courtyard my mom's room looks out at, but I am not skilled in those photography techniques. Anyway, it's a nice view when she keeps her window open.
