Playing with DOF

These flowers grow outside my office window.  I don't see them from inside but I often walk past them when I arrive and leave.

Today when I walked by, this caterpillar was smiling at me so I stopped to take his photo.  

I hadn't realised until today that they eat the flowers and stalks but not the leaves of this plant (whatever it is).  It took me a while to realise that the lovely little golden balls sitting on some of the petals are actually caterpillar excrement.  A result of them eating all that sunshine.
