Late afternoon near Denver

Typical street scene! About an hour away from the foothills of the Rockies. Denver is over a mile above sea level and surprisingly warm and very dry. Situated east of the mountains it gets very little rain or snow and is sunny most of the year. I was expecting pine trees and snow but it is really a high desert.
