Last Day in India

A quick flight from Varanasi to Delhi saying goodbye to 2 of our group of 6 who are continuing in the North of India.

So we started in our first hotel 2 weeks ago with a view of the sea. We finish in Holiday Inn in the airport complex with a view of a site which is being developed into a giant shopping mall!

India is growing in every direction. There are motorways, flyovers and Metros developing in many places. Most men now ride big motorbikes rather than the little mopeds we used to see everywhere in 2011.

Yes there are still huge problems to deal with: water and sanitation, education, the caste system and many more. But we can see changes wherever we look.

Home tomorrow evening. I will replace some of my phone/nexus blips with better camera ones in the coming weeks.
