Diary of an Edinburgher

Beach!

We met up with Bailey and her mum for a new (to us) walk round the Newhailes Estate. (Archie was sick on the way). It was a really nice woodland walk (full of snowdrops) then a long walk round the fields. We met SO many dogs! I need to get my activity app on my phone working, then I'd know how far I walk.

We left Bailey and her mum there, as they were meeting friends later, and popped down to the sea. Janet had alerted us to the new (dog friendly) cafe at Porty.

It was very pleasant at the beach - not much wind - but we didn't hang about too long before getting settled in the cafe. And very acceptable it was too. Exposed brick walls, rustic tables, wooden floor, and best of all - very quiet music! Leonard Cohen at one point. Perfect. Good coffee, too. AND, to top it off, two schnauzers came in. In fact there were several dogs, including a tiny wee French Bulldog puppy.

Back home, and we all had a snooze. A grand day out.
