The Book Exchange

Two or three years ago a waiting room was built at our local station. It stood empty, apart from six fixed seats painted in company yellow. When we decorated our downstairs rooms I finally agreed to part with a number of my books and Mo had the idea of starting up a book exchange in the waiting room. Merseytravel seemed very pleased with the idea and provided a bookcase. The turnover of books has been incredible, and there seems to be a constant stream of people arriving at our house with bags of books to donate to the scheme.

Meanwhile, on the other wall there was a large and unused notice board...
