Tinking lang

A saying from home, Shetland, 'to tink lang, to long for. Der no a day at gengs by at I dunna tink lang for hame.'
Had a few pictures printed to send home as old Jock (on the right) passed away recently. I was so pleased to still have these pictures from last summer as I'd lost my phone. Luckily they were saved. Happy memories from last summer.
I'm going home soon for a week so starting to move into holiday planning mode. Was messaging my Aunty through the day about things we'll all do. Then as I left work I was struck by a smell. The sea! I think it has been that windy the sea breeze carried all the way to the city centre. Kinda threw me at first as I couldn't figure out what I was smelling. So looking forward to being back home surrounded by the sea.
So tinking lang came to mind when I was thinking about my day.
