red robin, red robin...
...spring time is here
albeit several days early
even though i am still sick the weather doesn't care - with temps hovering in the high 60's - very unusual for this time of year, sending us into a drought situation - we've dealt with many fires in recent weeks due to the - really dry conditions in the area - as for me, even though stuck inside - i can still enjoy seeing some wildlife out in the courtyard - the resident robin among them
to be honest, even though i was taught spring began - at the 1st sighting of a robin - i don't think that applies where i now live - where i was raised it was always such fun to watch - by the family room windows with my daddy - for that initial sighting of orange flashing in the undergrowth of our bushes - who would see it first became a game - but here it seems the robins stay in the area year 'round now - especially since our winters have become so mild - whatever the case, it's always a joy to spot birds - and a greater joy for me to be able - to capture them since i'm not that good at it - getting this robin on camera, even though it might not be the best, sure made it...
a
happy day.....
