Dun dunnock

I've just learnt a new word - wondering if that's how it got its name.

I've said chiffchaff (or words to that effect) a few times in the last 24 hours  and discovered that they've arrived in our local woods today - maybe they heard me - I certainly heard them!  One was happy to have its undercarriage photographed but I enjoyed this little encounter with a merrily singing dunnock.

Hoping to be merrily singing myself soon.  Currently, I'm merrily swearing.  Physio later.
