Life in Newburgh on Ythan

By Talpa

At the harbour this morning.

This morning I had to take a friend to Peterhead to have her feet serviced. This gave me a welcome chance for another stroll around the harbour.

The main photograph shows just one of the multitude of young gulls that hang around the fishing boats in the hope of a free fish supper. This one is, I think, a juvenile Herring Gull, known locally as a Seamaw or Scurry.

The "extra", a message painted on a fishing boat suggests that there is a local desire not only for Brexit but also for independence. The strident Mrs May, she who must be obeyed, is of the opinion that they must dream on!
