My new friend, Emily

Emily came to my house yesterday and is likely to be staying for some time...It is cold! The snow on the coast didn't materialise (I've only known that happen once in 12 years), but the mountains are still white.

Last night I got the quilt off the guest bed (lucky J left on Tuesday!) and added to my own...perhaps that's why we went back to bed this morning after Daizy's walk.

I hope everyone had a good night/morning and saw the New Year in in style.
