Day 6

Walked out to the viewpoint to see Castle Stalker, then managed coffee and cake in the excellent café. We are in a really beautiful part of the country, stunning scenery everywhere you look! Whitewashed cottages, little jetties and boats and daffodils, forsythia, and blossom on the trees.
And then Port Appin! The real one, not Stuart's one! Watched the boats, saw the island of Lismore, and bought post cards in the general store. Drove round the whole loop of road and very picturesque it was too.
Ended up going over this wee bridge onto Seil island, the bridge over the Atlantic, as it is known. What a spot! So glad we are here ahead of the coaches and hoards of trippers! Lovely indeed. Perfect spot for another stop to wander and admire the view and have a bite and a cuppa. What a life!
Spent the night by Carnasserie Castle. Perfect for an exhilarating walk at the end of the day, it is up a steep track and then there are 80+ steps up a spiral stair to the top of the tower! We slept like the proverbial logs!
