Oh! Joy!

It was 8.15am and I was gathering all my gear into the kitchen, I already had my jacket on and was about to go. As I reached for my handbag in the lounge I caught sight of the red squirrel sitting in the tray on the bird feeder. Oh thank goodness the camera bag was still in the kitchen and not in the car!

It's been 7 years since we had a squirrel in our garden. In April 2010 we saw them regularly! 

What a shame The Man, for the first time in ages, left the house early this morning! Ha, ha! We would have been fighting for a position by the window! He has gone allotmenteering in the rain in Edinburgh. 

Maybe he will have the last laugh by blipping a kingfisher from the café at Johnstone Bridge Services. (3 of them still stick by that story of the time I didn't go with them!) We will see!

I never did remember to pick up my handbag! And my lunch!
