The Semiexpected Door

This is the other plumbing fix on the go at the moment.  What had started as a simple room-decorating operation has evolved into completely stripping the en-suite, including taking off the entire wall surface on one wall*

This exposed the frame of a former door.  I'd wondered whether there might be something here as this bit was plastered differently to the rest.

It would seem that as well as each of the three bedrooms on this side of the house, as well as having a door to the landing there was a door between each room; which is a little unexpected.

* For those wondering why - it's because some creative person made the en-suite stud wall with 99cm between walls, which is a tad sub-optimal when showers come 100cm wide.  In any case we suspected that plaster that moves when you press on it was also sub-optimal; so it was time for a fresh start.
