Terminal 5

We had a smooth journey up to Heathrow today. Kate happened to be shopping in the supermarket opposite Bridgwater bus station while we were waiting for our bus so came over to wave us off, reversing the roles from her University days when we would see her off from here at the beginning of each term.

We caught a local bus round from Terminal 5 to our overnight hotel. I was delighted to have a second chance to use my recently acquired Old Git's bus pass; Tess was about to use her contactless bank card for her fare when the driver stopped her and told her she didn't have to pay: I told her he must have thought she was my carer :)!

This is the view of Terminal 5 from the Terrace Bar of the hotel. Up well before sparrows' tomorrow for our flight, so an early night tonight.
