Team Denmark Debut

The European Championship in the end of September, will be Hero's debut on the Danish Team and at a Championship and he got his Team Denmark coat yesterday...

Actually it is not a new coat made for Hero... It is the Team Denmark coat that Whisper wore when he won the Nordic Championship in 2009 and the World Championship in 2010. It does now have Whisper's name on one side and Hero's on the other.

It gives me a lump in the throat to see Hero wear Whisper's coat - both because I know I will never get to dance with Whisper again and because I am so proud of Hero. Whisper will be with us in spirit.

And my friend Helle had a fabulous present for Hero - a huge Danish flag with his name and 'European Championship - The Czech Republic 2012' printed on it. The idea is to have all the Championships he get to compete at printed on the flag, so at the end of his career, we can look back at all the amazing adventures we have had together.

Today was first day of school after the summer holiday. Gosh it was hard to sit still all day, but we had a great teacher so that was nice.
