View from the Red Room

A couple of reasons for blipping this, not least because it doesn't involve plumbing (which continues... some stuff goes up, elsewhere some falls off - just another day fixing this place).

One is that E spent the morning in the garden painting the 'Wendy' house and I spent the late afternoon pruning some holly (with perhaps a little too much relish, given that at least three piles of prunings are now the size of a large family car).

The main reason is that we have an occasional email conversation with a former guest, now too elderly to make the trip here but who is clearly remotely enjoying what we're up to.  

The most recent email came with a "view from the Red room" from June 2012.  Slightly different.
