In The Occupied Territory

Up sharp and into Aberdeen to The Treasure Hub, the store area where the works of art are kept during the long process of rebuilding the Art Gallery.
My job today, and for the next 3 Thursdays, is to photograph groups of children from the local primary schools as they take part in activities in the Hub.
They were split into 3 groups; the first group spent a period of time in public area where they had to do word searches, take selfies, draw pictures within pre framed A4 sheets of paper, and draw o  the electronic white board. there was images of some of the art work available online for them to try and copy. One girl, Victoria did that. These two lads decided to be more creative and coloured the white board black, and the add colours over it.
The firework effect was pretty different. When it came to take their picture, they decided to become  anonymous. But added their name to the work of art. Just like street artists might do.
The groups swapped over and this group then were taken behind the scenes to see some of the paintings, old masters etc, that are in storage.
They had iPads that they had to use to photo some of the paintings.
The idea of this is, that once all the schools that are going, have been, some pictures will be printed out on regular paper, and during the Eatser Weekend, the the big street art festival organised by NuArt from Norway, is in town, these images will be posted up by s French street artist Julien de Casabiancas
The kids don't know this yet.
