Torlesse Range from the North

From a few kilometres north of the Waimakariri River the Torlesse Range looks different to the view from my place. Back Peak is hidden behind Otarama on the right. The forward standing Mount Torlesse obscures the arête and The Gap, and all but the very top of Castle Hill Peak. For comparison here is a view that is similar to mine. I usually honour St Patrick’s Day with an emerald green landscape, but I couldn’t find one. In spite of the recent rain the countryside has not greened up. Well, anyway, Happy St Pat’s Day to all who celebrate it.
