Woodland Grotto

For decades on the shore road at Kippford (SW Scotland) one of the occupants of a house facing the sea has delighted the many walkers and young families with the characters he imaginatively created from stones and the flotsam and jetsam washed up along the shore. He used prosthetic teeth (unused from denture manufacture) obtained form my dental practice for many of his creations. However many of these plastic teeth were removed from the wood and stone models by children, who would recycle them for cash from the Tooth Fairy.
Sadly ill-health has forced this gentleman from his home, but I hope the new occupants will keep up the tradition.
Here is some of his most recent work.
