Rapakivi granite

I thought that I would share with you a picture of the worktop in the gents toilet at the conference hotel in Aviemore! This is Rapakivi granite, named after the type location in Finland but found in a few other places. It is quite a rare granite. You can see that the pink feldspar crystals are orbicular (rounded in every dimension, like an egg).
