Home sweet casa

The house - just the end of that seen here - is very nice, well equipped and has been really tastefully renovated. Strange to say, I took a Blip back in last summer of this area and the house is very close to it.

We met some of our neighbours - Carla, Andrea, Antonio, Christina - who were very welcoming. Andrea's son told me they had relatives in Kilmarnock and Glasgow and Andrea goes shooting in Aberdeenshire.

We spent the day getting ourselves in order and went down to the shops at Sieci on the Arno. By lunchtime I was bushed and cooked up some chicken and garlic, new season onions, peppers and zucchini. We ate outside with a bottle of the local wine. 

It is strange to be here as residents and not tourists.
