Lobed

The rain has returned just in time for my weekend with the kids but hopefully we can get outside at some point.

Quite a productive day today: a few hours of tutorials and a couple of meetings that are starting to dissipate the fog of uncertainty that my team has been shrouded in for the past couple of years. All change on...April 1st.

This lichen community was on a wooden rail outside the students' union. I've not yet exerted any effort toward learning the identification of lichen species, even common ones like these, but I like admiring their patterns and form and exploring their micro-topography with an enquiring lens.
