Lovely light
Had another busy morning but got out in the afternoon with Jack on the phone.
It was wild and windy, but down by the river it was ok.
We had lovely light and found a viewpoint on Belmont bridge and the church I had overlooked for a long time.
I could not do a long walk as I had to be back for a call at 4:30 pm. I just made it!
I had more to do but did not overdo it.
I stopped before 8 pm and started preparing dinner.
Neil had promised to be home around 9 pm and I fancied an early dinner for a change.
Early for us means before 10 pm!
It worked and after dinner Neil wanted a revenge game.
Well - I won both games we played ... this is bugging Neil a lot!
When we start playing a new game I usually keep losing, because I never read the instructions and thus am in a disadvantage not knowing the little details for scoring etc. But then, when I have played a few times I start winning. The difference between us both is that I play intuitively and Neil always overthinks everything (aka taking forever when it is his turn :))..... Having said that now, I assume I will be losing next time ;)
My cold is still not hear or there. Not feeling too bad but it also does not go away.
The photo is taken from the site of the old Northwood SideFlint Mill at the river Kelvin, between Queen Margaret Bridge and Belmont Bridge. The church is the Kelvin Stevenson Memorial Parish Church.
