Catching the Sun: Mac's Cat

Heading home from my morning walk I passed Mac's cat sitting on the step by the morning milk and cat flap. 

Mac, who died a few years ago, was a local character. He'd been a rock musician back in the 60's/ 70's and counted Keith Richard and Ronnie Wood as his friends. He was also an artist. His front door became a feature of village life as he painted new scenes upon it depending on the season - rabbits and daffodils would probably adorn the door at this time of year. Without being in full possession of the facts I believe he did it to raise funds for a young girl in the village who was very poorly. 

This isn't Mac's door but I do think it's his painting. It was good to remember him this morning even though I didn't know him well
