House for rent at Buttermere

Bucket-loads of rain are falling on Lakeland and one of the best places to enjoy it is Buttermere. Rivulets and streams are cascading down the fells and gushing into the lake which has risen a fair bit. The noise is terrific! This tree fell last year and is still very much alive. Months ago, someone attached this nesting box to the roots. I will keep an eye on it to see if it attracts any residents, but I suspect it is a little too close to the ground.
