Dim light from somewhere outside barely brightens the kitchen. It's late and cold out. Think the rain has finally stopped, but after three doses of it today, and feeling tired now, I'm not going out Blip hunting in the last half hour of the day... or night.
Today was a definitely a car day, says he after cycling. Wet on the cycle to work; wet on the lunchtime walk to/from Aldi (first time out at lunchtime for nigh on a fortnight); and drenched on the cycle home, with a detour to tell some farming folk about escapee sheep... possibly from the (former) Wildlife Park.
In spite of the heavy rain, I was for some reason surprisingly cheery on the way home, and appreciative of the beauty in the misery of the near totally grey wet scenes, with low clouds. If I'd had a waterproof camera, I'd have stopped to snap something of it. Thank goodness the deluge wasn't accompanied with the biting wind and sleet/hail that we had yesterday evening.
There's now steam rising from various articles of soggy clothing etc, that are hanging around the house.
