St Christopher
Very early start this morning. Woke up at 4.45 to get ready to get the cab to the airport for the last flight to Ushuaia. Taxi turned out to be too small so we had to wait for another. Arrived at the airport and surprisingly managed to get all the bags checked OK. We had to pay for another 2 bags and an extra 40Kg allowance but it only came to £50, bargain. Got on the plane and were ready to take off when there was an issue so we all had to get off again. Another 90 minute wait before they found another plane that worked. The person sitting over the isle from us was also on our boat. She had been travelling alone so we got talking. Flight was OK in the end and we managed to get a bit of charge in the phones as well. Taxi from the airport to our hotel was OK. Ushuaia is a nice little port town. Just don’t mention you are English or the war and you should be OK and passions for the Falkland’s still runs deep. Spent the afternoon wondering around and had some nice food before going back to the hotel. Asleep at 9pm Knackered. Here is the St Christopher boat in the harbour. It is an old tug boat which as been left as a memorial to all the ships that have sunk in the area.
