Bye Bye Big Vern

The last day of this year's 6 Nations and a score of Sco 29 - Italy 0 to finish with. A good result if a poor game not helped by torrential rain during the 1st half.

The last game in charge for coach Vern Cotter and a nice way to say cheerio. He's brought the Scottish team and background set up a long way and we have to say a big thank you to him.

It's no secret that Vern doesn't want to leave the role but the SRU have decided that they need to move fast to secure Gregor Townsend as national coach before he's snatched away from Glasgow Warriors and lost to Scotland.

Time will tell how wise a move this is.
