Reflections of a fort

A fort(!?) on a wee island at a turning circle on the Union Canal, just west of Ratho, near Edinburgh.

The Union canal is a contour canal, I believe it varies in height by all of a couple of inches along its length, from central Edinburgh to Falkirk. It make running on its towpath very easy!
