Cheltenham

We went to Abigail's Party today; that is the play showing at the Everyman Theatre in Cheltenham. It is forty years since this Mike Leigh play appeared on the stage and later in 1977 as a TV programme starring his then wife, Alison Steadman. This performance in Cheltenham will be moving to the West End.

Playing the lead in this current production is Amanda Abbington, ex partner of Martin Freeman, who both appeared in Shelock as Dr Watson and his wife.
